Structure of Photosynthesis Molecules

These three structures are the key to photosynthesis. They are pdb structure files so you can interact with them using Jmol in your browser. It may take a few seconds to load all three structures since they are large ones.

• Photosystem II traps light and splits water to replace the lost electrons.
• Cytochrome b₆f shuttles the electrons to photosystem I and helps move electrons into the thylakoid space.
• Photosystem I also traps light but helps produce NADPH.
