Emory University, Atlanta, GA, Summer 1997. SURE Fellow under Dr. I. Doubt It.
Performed, reported on isolation of microtubule severing proteins from Chlamydomonas reinhardii.

 

Duke University, Durham, NC, Summers 1994, 1995. Research Assistant for Dr.
Blue Devil. Explored the mechanism of thioredoxin and purified thioredoxin and its reductase from rat liver.

 

Davidson College, Davidson, NC, 1997 and 1998. Laboratory Teaching Assistant.
Assisted in preparation, direction, and clean up of lab, answered students' questions and tutored.

Biochemistry: Tissue homogenization, column and thin layer chromatography, fraction collection, spectrophotometry (UV/Vis), protein and enzyme assays, SDS-PAGE, HPLC, ultracentrifuge
