How does your liver add glucose to your blood when scared?

Educational Goals:

  • Learn how the body signals when it needs more energy.
  • Understand that every system has checks and balances.
  • Appreciate how structure determines function.

Learning Outcomes - Students will:

  • understand how polymers are built
  • appreciate subtle structural changes have large consequences
  • distinguish covalent and allosteric modulation
  • be able to follow a signal transduction pathway and its inactivation steps
  • visualize structures interactively with a computer
