Educational Goals:

• Learn about cloning cells/organisms.
• Understand how to produce a transgenic organism.

Learning Outcomes - Students will:

• describe the major steps when cloning an organism
• compare and contrast germline and somatic cell gene therapy
• explain the immunological value and risks behind gene therapy
• design an experiment to determine if an organism is clonal or transgenic
