• Learn how one small signal can be propagated in multiple ways.
• Consider the significance of requiring two steps for activation.

Learning Outcomes - Students will:

• outline the steps leading to the slow block to polyspermy
• explain how lipids can serve as signaling molecules
• summarize the many different signaling and inactivating pathway
