Reasons for GCAT Success

PKAL's Rules for Successful Collaboration

Common goal determined through consensus, long-term engagement, and communication.

People driven to make a difference and for whom GCAT tops priorities list.

Regular and persistent avenues for communication, both face-to-face and electronic.

Visible effort by people vested in the success of GCAT (PUI faculty, R1 faculty, administrators, funding agencies).

Connectors, people with credibility in the community. (The Tipping Point)

Working together is more effective than working in isolation.

People come to enjoy participating and have a sense of belonging.

Malcolm's addendum:

Make GCAT affordable to all undergraduate faculty.

Healthy dose of naivete.

A good acronym.
