Proteomics

Terminology

Proteome (pro'-tea-ome): the total protein content of a cell.

Unlike your genome, every cell in your body has a different proteome. Each cell's proteome changes over time and in response to environmental stimuli.

ICAT Flash Animation - which proteins are present and how much?

Structure - what shapes do proteins exhibit?

Interactions - with which other proteins do they interact?
