Using Geographical Information Systems to Analyse the Effects of Population on Erosion Rates on the Outer Banks
GIS technology has only recently been applied to erosional analysis in selected areas of coastal environments. This project attempted to use rudimentary GIS data to examine whether there was a correlation between highly populated areas of the Outer Banks(OBX) and the erosional rates of those areas.
My initial proposal was to do an analysis of many different factors affecting, but for lack of proper data, I limited my research to population.
