Using GIS to Create a Temporary Wetland on the Davidson College Ecological Preserve

(from http://www.bio.davidson.edu/people/midorcas/research/LabAct/Field%20trips/Congree.htm)

I used Geographical Information System (GIS) to figure out where to put a temporary wetland on the Davidson College Ecological Preserve. GIS is great to use for these types of projects because it can take into account all sorts of variables and still be useful. The Biology Department at Davidson College recently got a grant to build the actual wetland. My project will be helpful in figuring out where the best location for the wetland is on the DCEP.
