The Use of GIS in Epidemiology
|
|
GIS, Global Information Systems, is a spatial analyst tool with a remarkable array of uses. From mapping behavioral patterns, to predicting archeological sites, to monitoring animal movements, to town planning, the possibilities are quite extensive. One of the exciting ways GIS is being used is to add a new dimension to disease research. This site is devoted to showing how GIS can be applied in epidemiology research and ways it is currently being used.
