APPLICATIONS OF GIS:

RATTLESNAKE CONSERVATION

(Photo Permission from Mike Pingleton http://www.csc.noaa.gov/otter/htmls/manage/dback.gif)

Rattlesnakes are a beautiful yet misunderstood mystery of nature. Part of the problem lies in the fact that rattlesnake behavior is still in the process of being discovered. GIS and GPS technologies are important tools in learning about these amazing snakes. The more people know about animals, the more they want to insure that the animals will be conserved. GIS is helping the learning process along.
