Physiological Role of Touch and Environment in Premature Infants

This site will review three different methods for touching and improving the environment of infants. They are kangaroo, or skin to skin care, infant massage, and creating a supportive environment. In general, skin to skin care, infant massage, and creating a supportive environment all have significant positive influences on premature infants and are all part of a movement to improve developmental as well as medical care of preterm infants.
