Venomdoc - This website by Dr. Bryan Fry contains information and pictures about a number of venomous animals including vipers, elapids, lizards, and even toxic mammals like the slow loris. It also contains useful summaries of Dr. Fry's research concerning snake venom evolution.

Evolution Bites - This site, maintained by biologist Freek Vonk, has detailed information about his research on the origin of fangs as well as a number of pictures from his field expeditions.

Snakebite Research Unit - This site contains information on first aid as it relates to venomous snakebites.

Snake Venom and Cancer - An interesting National Geographic article on the uses of snake venom in caner research.

Snakes: The Evolution of Mystery in Nature by Harry W. Greene - This book is an easy-to-read but thorough account of snake biology with a chapter dedicated to venomous snakes and snakebite.
