Welcome to Lynea’s website on the physiology of color change in animals.  This website explores the ways in which various animals change the color of their epidermis.  In particular, this website will cover the purpose of color change and the mechanisms used by mollusks, arachnids, crustaceans, amphibians, and reptiles.  Click on any of the links to the left to learn more about this amazing phenomenon.
