The purpose of this website is to review recent research describing how the American alligator thermoregulates.  Moreover, I will summarize how the alligator’s thermal biology shapes its ecological niche and how global warming may endanger this reptilian species.  The legend on the bottom of this page provides links to subsections of this discussion.
