Members of the herpetology lab frequently go to local elementary and middle schools and give free educational and fun presentations discussing the reptiles and amphibians of North Carolina and their importance and conservation. We also bring live animals for the audience to see and touch. If you would like a herpetology lab member to come into your classroom or school please contact the Herpetology Lab Outreach Coordinator, Peggy McKay. We mostly visit schools in northern Mecklinburg County and southern Iredell County. Some of our lesson plans are also available.
