  • Directed Research:  April 2002, School for Field Studies Costa Rica, Dr. Gerardo Avalos; investigated effects of naturally occurring volcanic pollution on tropical freshwater macroinvertebrate communities in two national parks

 

  • Internship:  June 2001-January 2003, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania; assisted in conducting clinical drug trials in the cardiovascular therapeutic area for FDA approval

 

  • Research Internship:  Summer 1999, Pennsylvania State University, Plant Pathology Laboratory, Dr. David Beyer; researched growth of soil microorganisms in mushroom compost substrate and their effects on A bisporus

 

  • Park Internship: Summer 1998, Ridley Creek State Park, Under the direction of Park Manager, John Graham, performed a comprehensive surface water survey of the entire Ridley Creek watershed within the park boundaries
