http://members.tripod.com/uakari/alouatta_palliata.html - This is a good web page for general information on the Mantled Howler (alouatta palliata). It gives descriptions of the various physical characteristics that distinguish howlers from other primates and covers other important areas also.

http://www.acguanacaste.ac.cr - Although this site is in Spanish, it offers a few really nice photos of alouatta palliata and a sound bite clip with their well known "howling roar." I really like the sound clip.

www.primatesofpanama.org - Broekema's site offers the most informative site that I have located on the web about the natural history of mantled howlers. This site gives detailed descriptions of social spacing, social structure, mating systems and communication. This site also has a wonderful photo gallery; lots of howler pictures. You have to check this one out.

http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu - When you arrive at this page you will need to type in alouatta palliata at the search box. Once this is done, it will take you to a fairly informative site about howlers, covering all the basic biological aspects for this primate.
