GCATPartnership with Washington University in St. Louis
for Genome Sequence Annotation

Dr. Sarah Elgin has pioneered a genome finishing and annotation course which she hopes to distribute to a GCAT community.

In June 2006, there will be a workshop at Washington University to train faculty how to finish and annotate genomes. We will begin by training on real, but canned examples that can be used with students directly.

The ultimate goal is to participate in a real sequencing project. This will require at least one additional year to organize and fund.
