Description: 3-4.5 in. (7.5- 11.5 cm). Coloration is a dark gray to black with a plain dark belly and light chin.  This species is often compared to a worm with legs.
Habitat:  Found on wooded slopes in usually high elevations.
Young: Females lay clutch of 2 to 4 that lack gills.
